Last week I had the pleasure of visiting 77kids (the kids brand from American Eagle Outfitters). This year my children and I have started a new family tradition called Elf Magic. It all started with the kids writing a letter to Santa asking him to send an elf to spend some time with before Christmas. I can't tell you how hopeful my boys were to have Santa send them an elf. I can't believe our time on the beautiful Gulf Coast has come to an end. As I write this we are back in our hometown in NC (equally as beautiful, just in very different ways) and I am already missing the waters of Pensacola. We moved to Pensacola from Cape Cod, and then from Pensacola to Mobile, AL so we we're still fairly close to the beautiful waters. Yesterday my daughter smeared Lipstick in the Carpet when she was supposed to be napping. I couldn't even bring myself to clean it while it was fresh (mistake #1) because I was so upset. Not only did she ruin the boys bedroom carpet, she also destroyed my lipstick, blush, eyeliner, and my makeup brushes. Toddlers are notorious for pulling this crap, and this is not the first time this has happened. I finally broke down and went to the outlets today. Here on the Gulf Coast the weather is really unpredictable. One day (in October) it can be 90 and the next 45, so you never really know what to expect. I have found that the 2nd week in October is usually a good time to break out all of the Fall clothing. I am fortunate to have both boys and girls, and I can honestly say I love dressing them equally. Most people say girls are more fun to dress, and I guess I would have to disagree. A few days ago I was contacted about reviewing a super cool face painting book, and I couldn't turn it down. Every Halloween I am faced with the same issue. Wanting to pick out my children's Halloween costumes. I mean I want them to be independent and have a costume they can be proud of but I also want them to wear what I think is cute!
