Castle Rock Resort Branson MO

Castle Rock Resort and Waterpark

During our recent visit to Branson, my family had the opportunity to check out Castle Rock Resort, an indoor water park! We were all pretty excited about it because we don't generally frequent water parks. 1. Because I've never been a fan of standing out in the scalding sun all day 2. I hate lines 3. They scare me 4. Water parks are hard with babies With that said, I knew this water park already had something going for it, because is inside! Scratch one of my complaints off the list! … [Read more...]

Where in the world have I been? {Oh, and a BIG announcement}

So you may be wondering where in the world I am, and why I haven't been updating my blog 50 times a day (or maybe you didn't even miss me). I have decided to pry myself away from the computer this summer, and spend more time with my family. As much as I love this blog (and you); I love my family more. During the summer months we love to travel, and I may also try to get a summer job this year. With that said, I do plan to share our summer adventures with you, and hopefully some pretty sweet … [Read more...]

Visit Branson – I did and fell in love!

logo-2010h

Last month we traveled to Missouri to attend my brothers Army boot camp graduation! The cost of a week long hotel stay was so expensive in FLW we decided to stay in Branson, MO, using the Armed Forces Vacation Club (great deals for military members). I was very impressed by our vacation home, and for only $369 for 7 days I don't think I could have complained if I wanted too! The pictures below are a few I took at the resort (notice the amazing kiddie pool!): We had so much fun swimming, … [Read more...]

Mel’s Hard Luck Diner – Starstruck Much?

mo 453

One of my favorite things about vacation is the food! I love eating out, and trying new restaurants and foods. After our Dixie Stampede Experience I assumed it couldn't get any better than that, I. WAS. WRONG. We ate at Mel's Hard Luck Diner on our last day in Branson, and it was an experience, to say the least! When we got inside (being that I have dreamed about auditioning) the first thing I noticed was the American Idol paraphernalia! That's when I realized that the past idols they … [Read more...]

Talking Rocks Cavern – Branson MO – Traveling with Kids Series

left

When we passed a sign for Talking Rocks Cavern on our way to check in to our vacation rental, I knew we had to check it out! I have never been in a cave before and honestly wasn't sure what to expect but I was excited to check it out! If you are going to be in the area I highly recommend this cavern! The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and handle screaming babies well! How would I know? Let's just say when my teething baby girl realized how loud her voice was in the cavern,and there … [Read more...]

Dixie Stampede Dinner Show – Branson MO -Traveling with Kids Series

Dixie Stampede Picture

I usually wait until I return home to post about our travels, but I just couldn't wait to share this! My family and I had the opportunity to visit the Dixie Stampede, while vacationing here in Branson, MO and it was amazing! I have never been to a dinner show, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I knew it would probably be a little stressful trying to keep four kids happy and quiet during an entire dinner, but I am always up for a challenge (and something other than Dora the Explorer as a … [Read more...]
