Let’s Fight Fat in 2013

The holidays are behind us and it’s time to start fresh. I don’t know about you but I got way off track this year. I was doing great until about two months ago. Between working outside of my home a lot more often and just getting slack I have managed to get out of shape and I am ready to get my body back.

Today I signed up for the Let’s Fight Holiday Fat website and so far I love it! I find it easiest to get back on track when I have both accountability and motivation. This online program provides both! I have goals each day which motivates me and helps me focus and the trackers help keep me accountable because I know I have to report my calories and workouts daily!

When you sign up for the site it will lead you through a series of steps to help you reach your goals. You can choose your workout style, enter your goal weight, and choose a food plan. For me working out is the hardest part of a healthy routine because it’s so easy for me to skip a workout and then really hard to start back once I stop.

If you’re like me and struggle with working out I have a few tips that help me get and stay motivated:

~ Work out with a partner. I love having someone to work out with. Not only does it make it more fun, it also makes it harder to skip a workout.

~ Mix it up. Don’t do the same routine every day. Be sure to mix up your workouts, and even your workout styles. Classes can also be a great way to stay excited about working out, and a way to make new friends.

~ Go shopping! You don’t have to buy anything but it is fun to go into a store and try things on. Even when you have a week where you don’t  lose weight you may still find that the smaller size fits a little better because you’ve lost inches!

~ Keep a workout journal (the site above is a great option). Don’t just document your workouts, make notes about how you felt before and after and what you should do  differently next time. It’s always nice to look back at you’re week and see your successes documented.
