La Dolce Vita Pizzeria Sanford, NC — Faithfully Frugal & Free

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of checking out a nice pizzeria right here in Sanford (I know right!). I don’t know how I missed this place, oh wait, I do…they are in downtown Sanford. I never go downtown, but I’m so glad I did.

I think the coolest thing about this restaurant besides the food, is it’s character. I love how they converted the huge safe into a wine cellar, and brick walls in a pizza restaurant just feels right. The style of the restaurant is relaxing, yet classy. It doesn’t feel like your typical “sports style” pizzeria, but isn’t so upscale you feel like you need to use a fork.

When we got there (around noon) I was happy to see that they didn’t have many customers, but that quickly changed and I soon realized that I must be one of the last people in Sanford to learn about La Dolce’s awesome pizza. Even after the tables started to fill the service was pretty quick. We ordered two kids slices and a whole pie and I wasn’t dead by the time they arrived. No seriously the service was fast, and the waitress was super sweet. She checked on us often enough to keep our glasses full but not so often that she got annoying .

When we got our food, it looked soooo good, and I couldn’t wait to test it out for myself, and thankfully it tasted just as good as it looked! I even ate the leftovers for breakfast and lunch the next day (I know, I know…I’ll work it off later ). Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious.

- Kid Friendly: YES! My girls loved the food and were very comfortable. They have high chairs, but I forgot to check for changing tables (darn, I’ll have to go back to check).
