This month we want to know all about your dinner time ritual. I’ll be honest, dinner was never something I cared too much about in the past two years. I often ate without my family, and then prepared their food for them and went to work. Now that our family has gone through so many changes, I have begun to appreciate dinner time all over again. The dinner table is a great place for conversations about how the day went, what the kids did in school, and just a chance to unwind and talk about whatever is on your mind. It’s a great way for couples to re-cap the day, and parents to really listen to what is happening in their child’s life. With the start of this new year, I am making a dinner resolution. I am going to work to make dinner time a special time for my children. A chance were we all sit down together, thank our Father in Heaven for the blessing of food, while so many go hungry, and just enjoy what each child has to share with me about their life. I will let you know how this goes! Here’s an awesome and tasty recipe to help you enjoy some fun in the kitchen and around the table with your loved ones:
What Cha Need:
- 1 lb. ground turkey – 1/2 lb. (8 oz.) VELVEETA®, cut into 1/2-inch cubes – 1 ready-to-use baked pizza crust (12 inch) – 1/2 can (5 oz.) RO*TEL® Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, well drained – 1/4 cup Hunt’s® ketchup – 4 Tbs Yellow Mustard – 4 Tbs Sweet Relish
How Ya Make It:
HEAT oven to 400ºF. BROWN meat in medium skill; drain. Return meat to skillet; stir in VELVEETA® & RO*TEL® Heat until cheese melts.
PLACE pizza crust on baking sheet. Mix meat mixture, Hunt’s® ketchup, mustard, and relish; spread onto crust. BAKE 10 minutes. Top with lettuce (optional)
