My Office Makeover Is Complete! {Giveaway}

As you know we recently treated ourselves (okay mainly me) to an office makeover, but if you read my last post you may remember that we were shopping for  home office furniture (specifically a book shelf and computer desk). While we didn’t find the bookshelf I did manage to find the PERFECT computer desk for my office.

Remember this White Hutch Desk I wanted from Hayneedle:

We finally got it two weeks ago!

I was so excited when John asked if I wanted him to put it together the night it arrived. It came in three boxes so he didn’t get it finished until the following day but all together I would say it took about 2-3 hours to assemble, but he took a lot of breaks to do other things so don’t hold me to that!

Here’s some evidence that my husband is awesome (you know, in case I forget and need to remind myself). Oh, and how cute is he with our daughters who wanted to “help” him. Anna found that sitting in his lap while he worked proved very helpful!

When John started opening the boxes the first thing he said was “Thank God they are clearly marked”. Each piece of wood had a sticker with a letter on it, to make assembly as simple as possible. John really didn’t complain at all while putting it together, which is always a good sign… sometimes things like this can get ugly quickly .

I LOVE my desk, more than any of the other furniture in our home… I’m not kidding. I think this is the nicest item I own, it is both beautiful and functional.

When you sit at a desk for hours a day, I guess it’s kind of important to have one you love. My office stays organized now because I have a space for everything. While I would still love the desk without the hutch, you have to purchase the hutch as well. For only $100 more it is well worth it. It changed the entire look of the desk from super cute computer desk to awesome country cottage desk!
