A few weeks ago Lexi and Anna received Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventures and Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Storybook Adventures, to review on DVD. Both girls are huge Dora fans and have seen almost every single episode, which is why I was so excited to review some we hadn’t seen before.
The girls loved all of the DVD’s but I think both the Enchanted Forest Adventures and Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom won the most viewed in a one week period award! Even I will admit (even though I am really starting to loath the “We did it song” and am coming close to never buying a pair of “boots” again) that I actually enjoy Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventures! The colors are oh so pretty, there is a UNICORN in every episode, and it’s a fresh new exciting place for Dora to do what she does best. I also love the lessons that these episodes teach. Topics Dora touches on include leadership, good character skills, friendship, and so much more. This DVD is definitely my favorite one (okay the only one I like).
So by now you may be wondering if I have issues with Dora. Well, I don’t! Really, my issue is actually with my daughters and their obsession with the show. When my boys were little, they liked a little of everything. The girls… Not so much. Anna’s third word was Dora. – Seriously! They love this show to death and I have been watching it EVERY day for the past 2 years. So sometimes I get slightly annoyed when I hear the theme song lol. BUT I will continue to buy the gear, toys, and movies because they make my girls happy, and they could be watching even more annoying shows…like Max and Ruby

Seriously though, I am so glad Nick Jr. came out with a new and exciting DVD. We love the songs and the lessons.

They had already seen the other two shows on Nick Jr. so they didn’t start asking to watch those until about a week after we got the DVD’s, but have continued to watch all of them weekly!
