No Way! This product is a KEEPER!

My family reviewed the  Kelty K.I.D.S. FC 3.0 Frame Child Carrier on a hike in Branson, where both my husband and I took turns carrying our 10 month old daughter. By the end of our hike, we were discussing, whether or not we should buy one for our 2 yr old daughter as well.

Our 10 month old was comfortable and content for the 2 1/2 hour trek up and down the hilly terrain. I opted to keep the sun shade on, even though I wasn’t sure we needed it, and I was glad we did. She would have likely been burned had we left it in the car. I would suggest taking it with you even when the sun doesn’t seem as bright, because you never know how long your hike will take. You will also want to pack sunscreen and your baby-care items in the generous pockets on the carrier. We found these pockets perfect for storing our cell phones, wallets, diapers, wipes, baby food, bottle,  pacifiers, and first aid kit as well as a light blanket. I don’t think you can ever be too prepared when you’re outdoors with an infant.

The Kelty FC 3.0 is new for 2010 and is the best backpack carrier we have ever owned. It’s  lightweight and because of the sliding waist belt lower back and neck strain is eliminated. It’s important to consider wear-ability when purchasing a child carrier. While price may be a selling point when purchasing a carrier, don’t forget to factor in chiropractor bills, if you’re carrier causes discomfort. My husband and I each wore the back pack for hours with no discomfort whatsoever.

I am convinced that is product is worth every penny. Kelty is a brand that I have grown to trust, and I plan to make a few camping purchases from them this summer. I will be sure to let you know what we think of those products as well!
