Day 2 – Feed on Christ (The Lord’s Table)

No food will satisfy my heart or fill the emptiness in my soul. Jesus Christ is “real meat” and the “bread of life,” and I am to feed on Him.

During Day 2 we focus on WHY we overeat. As it states in the lesson, we are only seeking to fill the emptiness, but food can’t do that.  Isn’t it amazing that God created our bodies to hunger and thirst? Why do you think He would do that?

I know that I really need to start leaving a Bible on the counter by the fridge and pantry. I also plan to post the message above on my fridge and pantry doors.

My suggestion to you (what I plan to do): If you are not feeling the hunger (growling belly) crack open your Bible any time you get hungry and drink a glass of water.

Day 2 Homework:

Q1. Where do we find true nourishment for our souls? (John 6:53-58)

Q2. Isaiah 55:2 says, “Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good”. In effect, God is saying here that the richest food is eaten with our ears. What does this mean?

Q3. What does fullness in Christ mean to you? (Colossians 2:9-10)

- Today I would love to hear how you are doing and your thoughts so far!

God Bless!

I find that when I pray before my meal, it reminds me to be thankful and for what I have before me. ..even if it is little, it is enough. If there is alot, be wise and only eat what I need, not what I want.
