Are you suspicious of what you see and hear in the news?

by keepinitcheap on July 29, 2010

When I watched the Rubicon pilot I found my self questioning what I saw in the program.  Some of the questions I asked myself were:  Is David really dead?  Did he park his car in the number 13 spot to send a message to Will?  Did he even park his own car?  What impact will David’s death have on the agency?  Did someone have motive to want David dead?

Thinking back to the news broadcast on June 28, 2010 about the ten alleged Russian Spy Agents, I find myself with more questions.  What did the release of this news have to do with the meeting between Russian President Dmitry Medvedex and President Barrack Obama?  Why were these arrests made right after their meeting?  These “spies” had been under investigation for several years, why did we move forward with arrests at this time?  What did the timing of these events have to do with each other?

After watching Rubicon, I have to wonder what we are not being told in the news broadcasts.  It is hard to believe everything I hear on the news because there have been so many cases where the news was not exactly accurate.  I don’t ever really take anything at face value without considering what I have been told, weighing that against what I know or believe, and then forming an opinion based these things.  Keep in mind; we only “know” what we have been told in the news or seen for ourselves.  In Rubicon we saw examples of codes and possible messages in the crossword puzzles of the nation’s newspapers.  Are we missing these types of things in our own newspapers?  Does anyone really take the time to look for these types of things in the busy world we now live in?  Do we really want to know what is actually happening in the world today?

I want to thank you for taking the time to listen to me ramble on and on about my opinions and questions.

Oh, guarentted…..we don’t know it all. I’m sure our world is small compared to all the government…spy stuff. I think I like it that way too. Thanks for sharing.

Hey thanks Sherri for the tip off on this new series. I hadn’t heard of it before, but I will be tuning in. I liked what I saw in the preview and I do believe that Not every conspiracy is a theory. I don’t even watch the mainstream news anymore and rarely read the paper. I’m a big alternate news person and get most of it from the web. I’ve learned a lot about who really is running this country and what their plans are and it’s absolutely frightening. It’s time people should wake up, I guess that is why there are threats of shutting down the web and or censoring it. The powers that be don’t want us to know the truth.

I definitely take everything reported in the “news” with a large grain of salt – the days of fair, balanced and impartial journalism are long over (sadly). I haven’t seen the Rubicon pilot you blogged about, I’ll have to check it out.
