Do Mom's Worry? I Don't Know Is The Sky Blue?......

I am a mom and I am a worrier, though I try my best to put my worries in God's hands, I still find myself mulling over some of the same old things!

My Top Three Worries:

1) That I Am Failing My Children:
You may begin to sense a familiar theme here, but roll with it will ya? I forget to do things for my kids all the time and I know I need to work on this! "Mom you said you'd make jello", "Mommy, you forgot to sew up the hole in my Shamu", "Mom, you forgot to pack my gym clothes, one more time and I'll get detention". Man some days I just wish I could hand the responsibilities off to someone else because I just can't seem to get it right! I know in the end they will be fine...even if it's my fault they got detention, but I still worry about being a failure. I wish I could just get it together and do everything they need me to, be a "class mom", and a "soccer mom" but I just can't and I am learning how to be ok with that!

2)  That Something Bad Will Happen:
I am sometimes paralyzed by fear as my thoughts wander into the land of "what-if". What if she wakes up in the night and sleep walks outside, what if he runs in the school parking lot and gets hit by a car, what if we get into a car accident and I lose them all. There was a point when I was living in FL and my husband had not moved down yet and it was all I could do to get to sleep at night, I was that afraid. I have gotten better about praying for God to take my fears and give me peace, but it is something I think I will always deal with!

3)  That My Children Will Turn Away From God
This is a worry that I don't have often, I trust God and I know He loves my children more that I do. I think this worry comes from my first worry. That I will somehow fail to lead my children to love God. That my life will not be enough of a testimony or a light to point them to Him.

I actually think that all of these worries help me, because ultimately to deal with them and have peace I have to turn to Him and have more faith!

My bottom three worries:
- I don't care that my boys don't play with the toys I buy them - they would rather play outside!
- I don't care that my daughter loves to dress herself, I think it's adorable
- I don't care that my youngest daughter wakes up in the night, soon enough I will never again get to feed her at 3am!
These things do NOT worry me!

What do you worry about?

Kodak and JuiceBoxJungle sponsored me to write this post, and they asked me to talk about the top and/or bottom 3 things I think/worry about as a mom.

Start thinking about the best, that is what keeps me going through the day

I have the same worries for the first 2 but not so much the 3rd. I leave religion up for them to decide on when they become adults.

I worry about the same things- especially the failing part- as a 'work' at home mom, I feel like I am jipping her, like when I have to work on a design project, it sucks.
