my son got his leg stuck in the buggy this morning and almost had to call 911 to get him out...EMBARRASSING!!!!
I know those days. I had one (with a sleepy two year old with no nap and a teething almost one year old with no nap either). THey screamed the whole time almost and my son kept trying to climb out of the cart. THen, he dumped my coupon book out on the floor. NOBODY helped me pick it up!!!! WHile I checked out, my almost one year old grabbed my shirt and pretty much flashed everyone. THen in the parking lot, my two year old jumped out of the cart and ran into the street. I was so embarassed. But I have to say- getting the leg stuck takes the cake! My heart goes out to you!
Before you know it they will all be grown up and you will wish for these days again. I have to admit that grandkids are more fun than your own little ones!
I just had twins (7 weeks) and I have a 2 year old and 3 year old! I know you wanted horror stories, but I have to tell you-I LOVE shopping at Publix because I never have those kinds of trips there. From the cart with the steering wheel- to the balloons and free cookies, they really go out of their way to make my shopping trips enjoyable for the kids! Which I appreciate since it requires a lot of thought and concentration to get my coupon shopping accomplished!
I didn't find out about the balloons until yesterday when one of the awesome cashiers asked if it would make her stop crying! I will have to get her a cookie next time to! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Shasta! So sorry for your tough shopping trip.
Sorry to hear about the tough shopping trip. Two weeks ago, I was actually able to go shopping without my toddler and the baby for the first time in a while. It did not go well though, as my husband called every two minutes, and in the middle of my shopping trip he called to let me know that he was on his way to pick me up, because the baby was crying. When I got out of the store, I found a sleeping baby in the car:)
Thank you for all the great deals, I will definitely have to incorporate some of them into my list.
BTW how to you make that cute button? I put your button on my blog, but I cannot figure out how to make my own.
I work at Publix, so just an FYI, for those of you Parents who dont want to do the cookie thing or bc of medical reasons they cant have a cookie you can get a small bananna instead and at the ck ou tline ust hand the cashier the peel and say it was in place of a cookie.. no charge
What a great idea! Would this be at all Publix's? I must admit when my girls were toddlers they were good girls....Always quiet and shy...You actually had to make them make a sound....Not so with my son....Temper Tantrum is not the word I would use to describe this one..."Hell on Wheels", maybe but he is 12 now....Still very loud but better at shopping now that he knows he can ask for things politely and calmly and get a good response...Good luck to those parents still training their little ones... Like momma-lana said, you will miss these moments one day....
