As a BzzAgent I was given the opportunity to test and review the new Essential Moisture Shampoo from Aveeno Baby and we LOVED it! I wish I would have known about this line when my first son was born! All of my children have very sensitive skin and suffer from eczema. The winter months can be a very uncomfortable time for them but I think we have found a solution!
I have been using this on my daughter (7 weeks old) for about three weeks now and have noticed her skin is not only soft and eczema free but smells so good (the shampoo is lightly scented). We have never been able to use anything that smelled good because up until this point everything the doctors have recommended has been “fragrance free”.
I would recommend this to any mom but especially those who have babies with super sensitive skin! Anyone with a child who suffers from sensitive skin should seriously consider switching the entire family to natural skincare products. That way every product in your home is safe for you child, You never know when they may decided to use soap or lotion without asking first. My daughter is always getting into the lotion, and I would hate to think I have products around the house that might cause her skin to dry out and blister.
I am starting to think it’s possible to actually develop sensitive skin over time as well. When I was younger I never had the problems my own children do, but as I age I am starting to notice some changes in my skin. It does seem to react to cleaners and lotions in ways it never did before. Especially my face and scalp. I haven’t done a lot of research but I am curious to see if climate has anything to do with this because we are in the military and move around often. I have a snaking suspicion this may be affecting my skin to some degree.
What do you think?
